Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi

Arrive in Hanoi, where your guide will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in the city center. Take the rest of the day to relax or explore the city at your own pace. Hotel check-in available from 2 PM. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi to Luoc Village

Begin your journey to Ha Giang via Phu Tho and Tuyen Quang provinces. Marvel at the lush rice paddies, palm-covered hills, and colorful villages. Visit a green tea plantation en route before reaching Ban Luoc, a Black Dzao village, in the late afternoon. Enjoy a short walk to your homestay with hot showers and dinner prepared by your hosts. Overnight in Ban Luoc.

Day 3: Luoc Village to Nam Ai

Set off on a trek through the terraced rice fields and high mountains of Tay Con Linh. Climb to the “Heaven’s Gate” at 1,356 meters, where you’ll enjoy panoramic views. Stop for lunch in Ho Thau village before continuing through tropical forests and more terraces to Nam Ai, a Black Dzao village. Overnight at a local homestay.

Day 4: Nam Ai to Nam Hong

Enjoy the peaceful morning mountain atmosphere before trekking through picturesque villages and terraced rice fields. Encounter the Red Dzao, Black Dzao, and other ethnic groups along the way. Overnight in a traditional stilt house in Nam Hong.

Day 5: Nam Hong to Pan Hou to Quang Binh

Continue trekking through tropical forests and the Thong Nguyen Valley, stopping for lunch with a local family. Descend to Pan Hou village, where your driver will take you to Quang Binh. Overnight in a local homestay.

Transfer: 70 km / 2 hours
Trekking: 12 km / 4–5 hours

Day 6: Quang Binh to Bac Ha

Drive to Bac Ha, with an afternoon walk through nearby hamlets such as Ban Pho 1 and Ban Pho 2, home to the Flower H’mong. Visit the historic King Meo Palace. Overnight in Bac Ha.

Day 7: Sunday Market in Bac Ha and Return to Hanoi

Visit Bac Ha’s vibrant Sunday market, where locals gather to trade goods and display their traditional colorful attire. After exploring, drive back to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 8: Hanoi to Halong Bay

Travel to Halong Bay and board a traditional junk for a scenic cruise. Discover karst formations, hidden caves, and beaches, while enjoying a seafood feast onboard. Overnight on the boat in a private cabin.

Day 9: Halong Bay to Hanoi
